Keyboard & Mouse/Trackpad NOT WORKING on new 15" MacBook Pro after software update.

It may just be coincidence, I did a software update and now when I turn it on, the keyboard/mouse doesn't work and it prompts me to configure a Bluetooth. Well, I did that and the bluetooth keyboard as well as a wired keyboard works just fine. I ran software update again thinking it would help, me but it did not.

HERE'S WHERE IT GETS INTERESTING: I can reset the SMC at anytime by pressing the Shift-Control-Option-Power combination and it will shut down- so the keyboard DOES work, but...???
