Keyboard not responding after draining battery

I just got my 3rd Macbook Pro and am crossing my fingers that this does not have any issues. To calibrate the battery, I completely drained it until it went to sleep. I then let it sit overnight, as per the procedure. Today, I plugged the A/C adapter in and noticed that the keyboard wasn't working at all. Not a single key showed any response. Frustrated, I rebooted the box and it is now working.

Is this normal or an issue I should be worried about? Has anyone else noticed this?

I've never heard of this happening, but it is hard to judge a problem from one occurrence. I'm assuming the trackpad still worked?

Yes, the trackpad and mouse still worked.

Yeah, that seems really odd. Never come across my keyboard not working before.😕
