I have a macbook pro 15 and after spilling of water on it, didn't turn on. So I had to replace the keyboard. Trackpad is not working either. After replacing the keyboard I could turn it on and even it works when the OS is has not coming up. I can choose the boot device for example on boot menu but then in the Mac OS it's not working.
I tried even reinstalling the OS but it didn't help.

One more thing is that my own macbook has a european keyboard but I replaced it with a US keyboard. I don't know if this could be the problem.

Can someone help me out with this?

Perhaps the water damaged more then just the keyboard.

Did you check to make sure all the connections from the keyboard to the logic board are tight and secure?

Did you also have the MBP checked out by apple to make sure the logic board isn't fried?

Then why the keyboard works on boot menu?
And the connectors, yes I checked but not checked by apple. I was hoping to repair it myself 😀

I would recommend that you go to apple store so they can check out whats wrong, then you can fix it yourself (hopefully)
