I know this problem has been discussed elsewhere, but it took me an hour to find the correct solution, so I'm posting my complete and simple fix here, to help others with the same problem.

I have a Mac Pro, installed Boot Camp 1.1.1, partitioned, rebooted and started installing Windows XP SP2 from an install disk.

However, when I reached the Windows Setup start screen, and was asked to press ENTER, nothing happened.

The problem is that the Windows Setup doesn't recognise devices plugged into the Display's USB ports, and there is a conflict with the Mac Pro standard Mighty Mouse.

Solution: disconnect the mouse completely, and plug the USB keyboard directly into the back of the Tower. Reboot...

And that should fix it.

...

Hope that helps someone out.

may I ask what your setup is?

Ive heard of the problem with a 23" ACD and a MacPro with the ATI X1900 XT installed.
