Keyboard problems.

Ok so I have a MacBook Pro and I've been having this particular issue for a few months now. Out of nowhere an entire section of my keyboard stopped responding. The weird thing is that when I login to my MacBook the keys respond and when I use those particular keys as shortcuts they also respond then too. They stop working as soon as I try to type normally. So I was wondering if anyone knew what the issue is, and if it is something I can fix myself or take it to be fixed and if possible the typical price range for that kind of repair.

There's precious little that you can repair yourself on a MBP. You didn't provide many details, like the model and year of the laptop.

Have you checked System Preferences --> Accessibility --> Mouse and Trackpad and ensured that Enable Mouse Keys did not get inadvertently checked?

@bmg98, still in warranty? Let Apple deal with it. If not in warranty, ask what they’d charge to fix.
