Hi

I have a bit of a strange problem. When I connect my Magic Keyboard to my MacBook with a cable, the keys are in English but when I remove the cable and use Bluetooth, the keys produce Greek letters. I've checked keyboard preferences and I'm only using English as the language. I'm using Big Sur 11.5.

Has anyone else come across a similar problem and hopefully a solution?

Thank you.

Hi
If I understand correctly you haven't setup as an input source the Greek language at all? That's weird.

Anyway, not sure if that solve the problem but try the followin
in the system preferences, in the keyboard do the following:
1. in "input sources" tab, uncheck the "automatically switch to a document's input source"
2. in "Shortcuts" tab, choose "input sources", and then uncheck the options "select the previous input source" and the "select next source in input menu" (or whatever you're using, if you don't have an option checked, don't check it)
3. deactivate Siri (if you have it activated)
4. restart the Macbook

Check if that solves the problem. Then you can re-check the boxes above that you're using.
Hope that makes the trick.

Thank you but I can't see this anywhere:

"uncheck the "automatically switch to a document's input source"

"uncheck the "automatically switch to a document's input source"
it may not be available if you only have one input source registered (in the system preferences -> input sources in the right column should show only a single language likely ABC-Extended?)
