I'm having some RatheR annoying tRoubles with my macbook keyboaRd (puRchased in late 2008). Out of the blue this moRning it seems a few of my keys aRe a bit wonky. The left shift woRks but also types an uppeR case R. The Right hand shift key bRings up my dashboaRd. Also, as you can see, I find myself unable to type loweR case 'R's. I've also noticed that when i type R and anotheR letteR quickly in succession it makes capitalizes it foR some REason. I've always tReated my Macbook veRy caREfully and have neveR dRopped it oR anything like that and have not monkeyed aRound with any settings to my knowledge so I'm faiRly suRE this must be a softwaRE pRoblem. I had not installed any new updates pRioR to the appeaRance of this pRoblem.

Sorry to hear that mate, I'd back up all your files then just take the Leopard disc which came with your Mac and start all over. I'm assuming you did restart?

Well I've figuREd out that my 'R' key has become mapped with my left shift key and my Right shift key thinks I'm pRessing both shift keys at once to bRing up dashboaRd...

Ugh anyone have a solution foR this? I can't tell you how annoying this is.

oh and yes I have tried REstaRting to no avail. I don't have access to an exteRnal haRdRive so REinstalling the os would be difficult to say the least.
