What does "rich feel mean". Its a fairly subjective phrase, making it difficult to compare.
They were mimicking the color choices in the keyboard feel. Gold -> rich, SG -> dull, silver -> like other macbooks

Thanks for the quick reply, but respectfully, I disagree with you. The keyboard on one computer is never identical with another. There's always a slight variation--subtle but slight.
I'm really speaking here to people who are sensitive (or crazy) to this degree.
I will agree with you that keyboards, all of them, might vary. I do not agree that the color of the MB has anything to do with it.
I am afraid your imagination has lead you down the wrong path of thinking.
I think we all know that the tan M & M's were and always will be, the best!
Wow, thats a big word
Like I said, for clarity, my first impression using the God Macbook that was delivered to my house compared to the Gold one in the store was "Hmmm, this keyboard feels harder to press than the ones in the store".
I might have to stop by to the Apple store and check to make sure I am not imagining it, but to my finger memory, it feels harder to type.

I'm holding on to the silver because I'm inclined to think at this point that only the silvers have softer keyboards than the others.

Am I imagining this?

I would call the OP crazy but I really have been finding the keys stiffer on the Gold MB I own vs the Gold I tried in the store. All day I've been like, "these keys feel a little uncomfortably stiff".
