keychain issues

ok, so i have been doing troubleshooting on my keychain as it has been annoying as late, and after repairing it, guess what, now it's even worse! ok, so now when i go to adium or mail, both prompt me for the account password (not the keychain). each time i check the box next to remember my password, but when i quit the app, restart the comp etc. it just prompts me again. any suggestions?

By repairing did you mean restore the backups? Because Keychain automatically backs itself up in it's application folder.

no i meant by doing keychain first aid. verify and repair. the backup is in apps-but won't that go to the backup where i had to enter a keychain password everytime like i did before?
