I’m trying to help my daughter with her presentation. In keynote, how do I view my presenter notes on my MacBook but show slides (without notes) on a TV (with AppleTV) using AirPlay? I know there is a way to do it, but I don’t know how to set it up.

I think the issue is that the screen is mirrored, so when I play anything, I see exactly the same thing on the TV that I see on the MacBook. I need to figure out how to use the TV as the target for the slideshow. I just don’t know how to do that.

Settings > Display

Click the PLUS (+) under the Built-In Display and choose the Apple TV...

Go to Control Center and click on the Apple TV that you connected to

There should be two options: Mirror Display and Use as a Separate Display. Choose Separate Display

You may need to configure the displays in Keynote to show the correct content on the correct display.

Did you ever figure this out? Or get an answer? I'm kinda stuck the same way.
There are two parts to this question:
(1) How to set up AirPlay as a separate display. If you haven't done that yet, it's required.
(2) One you have a separate display, how to set up Keynote to present on that display, but still show notes on your main display.

If you're having specific trouble with one or the other, let us know which & what's going on. Version numbers might be helpful too (macOS and Keynote).

Ed: Sorry if "might be helpful" sounded snarky, that's not my intent. Literally I mean that it "might" make a difference in the answer - though it might not.
