Keynote To Be Shown At Apple Stores

Living close to an Apple Store, I gave them a call to see if the keynote is going to be shown on in the theatre area in the back of the store. Apparently, they will be showing it live (9am EDT), presumably from the satellite feed. I then figured I may as well give it a shot and asked if there would be any new hardware on that day. The guy I was talking to said, "If it's gonna be there, it'll be there the next day [Thursday]." That was more than I expected to get, though not quite a confirmation.

Unfortunately, it seems that memory is the only configuration variable that you can alter in purchasing from the Apple Store, something to consider when deciding whether to buby online or from an Apple Store near you.

I will be snagging a high-end (maybe not the highest-end) G4 tower after MWNY. Since my desired config is askewed from the norm (unless GeForce 3 will be std in these units, which I doubt seriously), looks like I'll not experience the joy of actually purchasing the unit from the Apple Store. Ahh well, I got a printer there on the grand opening, that'll have to be enough warm-fuzziness to get me through the Apple Store on-line order...

Drawback of Store

The store does not allow people to purchase at the education discount, and purchases are taxed. Not worth it.

6 AM in Glendale!

Looks like some Apple Faithful will be waking up early on Wednesday for the keynote....it's scheduled for 6 AM at the Apple Store in Glendale!

Apple Stores

Greetings, Mac Faithful

I feel the stores are great and feel we as Mac Faithful should support them. I believe they will be the one stop store for sales/support/service/etc. and replace the VAR's and Apple Service Providers. Which will put the ball were it belongs in Apple's Court.
