I've been looking for a keyring charger for those days when I forget to charge my watch (and ring completion anxiety sets in!). After finding a few on Amazon and waiting for them to come back in stock, I've decided to buy both to compare and return the one I least prefer. Pics at the bottom.

First is this: Flagpower 700mAh keychain charger. Priced £32.99

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0...le+charger&dpPl=1&dpID=416IURQomKL&ref=plSrch

Alternative is this: Oittm 900mAh keychain charger. Priced £39.99

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0...40_QL65&keywords=apple+watch+portable+charger

Both priced well considering an official charge cable is at least £29.

I'm buying specifically with portability in mind and ease of use with a 38mm stainless steel with link bracelet. Not having to remove the bracelet since it doesn't lie flat is a key factor.

In the end I'm going to keep the Flagpower. It's notably narrower which is better in the pocket, easily fits inside my watch (despite skinny 155m wrists) and stays magnetised fine. I think the Oitmm looks more Appley and has a bigger battery but is slightly too big for my 38mm and link combo.

The one I kept (Flagpower) easily does 3 complete charges and has a bit left - about right since my 38mm has 205mAh. Three charges is more than I'll likely ever need often but it means 3-4 day trips are very much covered now. Those with a 42mm and/or S2 variants should still see two charges easily.

Here are some pics for anyone thinking about these:

Wow! This is actually a really awesome thread. I didn't even know about these. I'll have to look into this.

I'm guessing they work like power banks? Use it up then it'll have it's own charger?

Thanks for posting this! It got me thinking about what I carry in my overnight/commuter bag. I currently don't have a battery bank, so I like the idea of a watch charger with a battery that is available for other items. Neither of these is small enough for a keychain, obviously, but for those who carry a bag anyhow it seems like good idea.

If only my AirPods battery case were a keyring and a watch charger with larger battery that could top off my iPhone while remaining the same size!

Yep exactly like that. It has 4 lights to indicate power left and recharges via micro USB.

I tested the one I kept (Flagpower) and it easily did 3 complete charges and had a bit left - about right since my 38 has 205mAh - and much more than I'll likely ever need. But it means 2-3 day trips are very much covered now.

That looks great for a combo charger. I did look at one similar but ended up just going for the Watch as it's what I drain first (7 Plus lasts me two days and iPP likewise). The biggest problem I have with my AirPods is not losing them

Looks like a good charger. I am looking for something to use while camping. Any advice for car chargers?

These look really cool. Thanks for posting this! I've been looking for a small Apple Watch charger that doesn't take up a ton of room in my bag. I just wish they had lightning inputs instead of micro USB...I can't stand micro USB and it would mean one less cable to carry with me. Hmm. I'll probably get one of these and just use the micro USB to lightning adapter I keep in my bag if I need to recharge it on the go. It's smaller than having to carry an extra cable at least.

Really happy with my Flagpower. It's come in handy a few times when I didn't noticed the cats had knocked my watch off the charger enough to discontinue charging overnight.

Ha! Hasn't happened to me yet but totally something my cats would do. Didn't think of that benefit of having some extra Apple Watch battery power in my bag but there ya go:rolleyes:

The white disk shaped one looks awesome. I may have to get one. My Watch has been so good on battery power lately that I might not even need a charger but you never know
