Anyone got keyboard prints on their display? This is the first laptop I have seen this happen. Quite strange that the keys are touching the display when closed.

The prints on the keyboard are probably the result of oils from your fingers being transferred to the screen.

Clean the keyboard and screen and then check for marks/prints after closing and opening the MacBook.

Some people use a thin keyboard protector to reduce or prevent marks/prints.

They're not, but it doesn't take much flexion of the lid to make them touch.

I have not noticed this with my M2 MBA. I am pretty careful to keep my keyboard and screen clean, but I have never seen this. Maybe production tolerances or, as suggested by Audit13, oil build up on the keys.

oil build up on the keys
Come listen to my story about a man named Jed
Poor mountaineer barely kept his family fed
Then one day he was shooting at some food
And up through the ground came a bubbling crude.
Oil that is, Black Gold, Texas Tea.
