I've had my MBP since June and all of a sudden, the keys controlling the brightness, volume, backlight, etc. don't work (none of them do).
And when I go to my settings to check under "keyboard", I get the rainbow wheel cursor (if this is related).
Help!

Thanks, I'll try that, but now the power button (to get the shut down/restart window) isn't working either, is there any other way to turn it off?

Edit: Just realized that if the power button doesn't work, it won't turn back on either. I guess I bring it to the Apple store (still have AppleCare)?

Or just never turn it off. OF COURSE BRING IT TO THE STORE.

:)

For future information i have had this problem too, it is simply a glitch and you can simply sort it by holding power button to force quit and then turn you laptop back on, you don't need to worry about it not starting up again. :D
