Is anyone noticing the problem that arrises on the Air where the keys mark the screen on there new 2015 retina Macbook

We have two 2015 rMBs, a 2012 11.6 MBA, a 2015 13" rMBP, and a 2013 13" MBA. None of them has issues with keys marking the screens.

I have a 2015 Macbook Pro and I've not noticed any screen marking. Obviously I'll be looking out for it now...

think your fine with the Pro. I know the Air's have a issue due to the tight tolerance between screen and keyboard. Was curious about the new macbook 12 inch thats all

Every mac laptop I've ever owned does this (macbook pros 15 & 13, macbook airs 13 & 11, plastic MacBooks, and now the new macbook). I think it's because they all have spent a lot of time in a compartment in a full backpack.

It's annoying, but I've found if I keep up with cleaning the screen regularly (with just water and a lint-free cloth) it isn't too bad. I find that eventually you can't completely remove the marks, but get pretty close. On a couple of machines, a bit of grit somehow got onto one of the keys and then made a permanent microscopic dent in the screen which is heartbreaking since it ends up looking a bit like a stuck pixel. I try and remember to quickly sweep the keyboard with my hand before putting the machine into its bag now.

I do wish the laptop screens were as robust as the iPad screens for cleaning etc. But of course, this would add enormously to the weight!

if you are speaking about a faint mark, easily removable with a cloth, it's ok and I've seen traces of it on almost every MacBook so far since 2006.
If you are speaking about a permanent marking, something could be wrong with manufacturing tolerances of your unit.
