My kids accidentally unapplied a nostalgic theme I've had since 2017 on my 2009 iMac on OS X 10.6.8, and I can't get it back. I've been trying to preserve its condition along with that old-but-gold theme, to give me a memory of when my iMac was still supported and able to download and install Chrome Web Store themes, extensions, etc. Since I can't download it with the Chrome Web Store anymore, I tried using these third-party websites and programs like "Chrome Web Store link to .CRX" or smth like that but that didn't work either, and it gave me an error code. The error code is: "Package is invalid: 'CRX_VERSION_NUMBER_INVALID'."

Tried as much help websites as I can, like Quora, Reddit, etc. But they didn't help and were making useless comments, criticizing me for my opinions like "why would you wanna do that?" (i hate those types of people btw, they annoy me) and trying to change my mind by trying to justify the situation instead of actually trying to solve it. If you don't have an answer to the problem, or something like "why did you let your kids use it in the first place" then don't say anything at all.

This might work:

- Rename the file extension from .CRX to .ZIP
- Unzip the file
- Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions/
- Enable Developer Mode (top right corner)
- Click "Load unpacked" and select the unzipped theme folder

Good luck 🤞
