Sierra Games (Kings Quest, Space Quest, etc)
SimCity, ideally around the SimCity 3K era
More apps like the iElectribe by Korg. This think is just begging for something like a kaosolator also a virtual monome.
Also Boxee for the ipad
I want a true, handwritten note taking app that can work without a lag (as has appeared in all I have tried so far) and does do the smoothing.
I have probably tried 6-8 and all have a significant lag which is not present on the iPhone, as if it comes from the large input surface of the iPad and the processing overhead imposed.
iWeb could truly be killer. Same with some of the other iLife apps. But I could see iweb working on the ipad. However, I wouldn't expect it for about 6 months or more.
I second, third, and fourth that! The large iPad screen would be ideal for SimCity.
I also would like to see,
-Vintage Game Emulators(like NES, Super Nintendo, MAME,etc...)
-Comcast(so you could watch all your on demand programs if your a Comcast subscriber)
-iDisk(You'd think Apple would have already made an iPad specific version)
VMWare app so I can run mac os x , windows or linux on my iPad.
- Tweetie 2
Those old Sierra games would be really great. I wonder if i could remember them well enough after all these years.
I think that's going to be first on my wishlist.
Any turn based war game that you can play against others over the net
Print app that doesn't require a pc/Mac/cloud
+1. Risk would so very awesome on the iPad.
Yeah I'm surprised there haven't been any Risk-style games made for the iPad, since it wouldn't be too hard to write and would fit well on the screen.
Monkey Island 1&2
Indy Fate Of Atlantis
Texas Holde Em HD (original Apple one)
Something that will let me print directly from my iPad, and something else to let me mark up Word docs, so I can leave my MBP home.
as somebody said, the sierra series games would be amazing on the ipad
MS OneNote (or equivalent)
Some equivalent of Visio
Ability to install our own fonts (would fix a lot of Pages conversion issues)
World of Warcraft , sorry somebody had to say it.
Check out Strategery it's a lot like risk and I have been playing it a lot over the past few days. http://itunes.apple.com/app/strategery/id298908505?mt=8
The only app I really want/need is cydia
An app for it to become an interface for iPhoto, Garageband, iMovie with costumized GUIs for each app.
(eg mixing desk for Garageband)
Then we'll be getting to a place where I want to be
NetFlix would have been mine. =]
Google Maps for offline. Like being able to save a map of a particular town or area.
-Comedy Central Player/website (Jon Stewart and Colbert Report aren't on Hulu anymore)
-Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
-GQ app that isn't just a freaking PDF file/reader
