Please, no cracks about "you should have gone without a phone for a week and sent it to Apple because you don't install these on your primary phone" responses. I know this, but there's nothing wrong with trying the betas and if they blow up, downgrade - it's expected.

This post is about what Apple is saying about this issue.

I have an iPhone 14 Pro that I finally had to have the battery replaced. As I'm 500 miles from the nearest Apple Store I had to use an authorized repair place but that doesn't guarantee, as I found out, that it will be an actual Apple branded battery. Phone works fine with 18.5 but I had the same issue (1% battery after the dev 1 install, no charging, constant reboot) as the iPhone 15/16 reports which Apple addressed almost right away with the dev 1 update.

Until beta 4 came out my bug report was indicating no other similar reports - B.S. There was no way to send diagnostic files to Apple because the phone wouldn't remain powered on long enough to gather them. I tried again with each dev release, same thing. With dev 4 I finally was able to grab a screen shot showing the battery and sent it in with one final plea to look at this issue. As of the today the report shows:

Recent Similar Reports: more than 10
Resolution: investigation complete - Works as currently designed

If this is where they're leaving this, in the words of the genius Harry Vanderspeigle - This is Some B.S.
