Good News! Check you email, because Phase 3 of the beta has begun!
EDIT: Actually they just added a bunch of people to Phase 2, and they are getting ready for Phase 3. Check your email anyway!

Yeah the controls are extremely customizable. Some are very similiar to COD4's, but not exact, since there is a first person cover system in single player (not multiplayer since GG didn't thing it would work too well).

Sounds good. Definitely looks like an awesome game. What's a first person cover system though? 😕
Well it's never been done in a shooter before, but apperently it works well enough to be in single player. You can click here and scroll down to some interviews and they should cover it somewhere.
ACTUALLY I screwed up. Apparently they have just accepted a ton of new people to Phase 2. They are getting ready for Phase 3, although I have no idea why they would send out a bunch of emails now for Phase 2, other than having some extra they needed to get rid of before Phase 3 begins.
Yeah so Phase 3 has not started, and that was my bad. Just make sure you have a PSU and a PSN account. There will be more specific ways to get in, but more details on that later.
Well word on the street is that all the codes are out and phase three is in full swing. if you didn't get in, no need to worry, most of us at the KZ boards think there will be an open beta with qore or preorder or something like that.
