related, somewhat:

i work at a place where doors are opened for me from a control room and i have to say, " clear" when i am completely through the door so that it can be safely shut. I usually thank the controller after i shout clear.

walked into the grocery store the other day after work and shouted "clear, thank you"

I turned that feature off last year, I found it to be really annoying. Since the phone wanted to replace my ? with a . all the time. I also shut it off on my 3G the same day I activated it. :)

I've never had any issues with the phone replacing my ? marks with periods. So i really like the double tap space feature.

I had to laugh at myself the other day using my Navigon GPS. I was trying to flick the map view. It does have a touch screen but doesn't flick. :D

I caught myself trying to flick through street names on my hacked tomtom the other day. :D Of course it wasn't working. Had to touch the down arrow.

I have also done the double space thing on my macbook, and have also began to get upset when I type something wrong and auto-correct does not kick in.
