On Amazon.com They are advertising this product saying "Lighter Than Air," Since the soon to come Kindle Fire is 13.2oz, it is lighter than the IPad Air. Do you think this is what they meant? Or just a coincidence?

Yup. Amazon have taken cheap shots at Apple in the past with their marketing.

When I read it I instantly thought it was directed at Apple.

What makes it a "cheap shot?" It's simply competition.

It's lighter because it's smaller and made of plastic.

I did too, I wonder if this ad was up before yesterdays keynote, if it was, then it wasnt directed towards them. Does anyone remember seeing it before?

My wife has been looking at the Kindle Fire and I am pretty sure that line just appeared today.
