I'm curious if anyone else has seen this. I use both a Kindle Paperwhite & an iPad (and an iPhone too) for reading. I'm reading a book on all three devices currently (using the Kindle app on the iOS devices, and use the scrolling feature on them). When I am on the kindle, it tells me that my estimated time to complete the book is a little over 5 hours, but when I'm on the iOS devices, it says under 2 hours. I tried this on several books and I'm getting the same results on all of them (significantly slower estimated completion times on the paper white). has anyone else seen this? I've never really paid attention before. I could see a little variance, but this seems like a huge difference.

Thanks in advance,

Simply because iPad would show more content on one page so you’d read faster. The estimation is only an algorithm that tries to give you a number based on the device and your reading speed.

Interesting. Thanks for the quick reply. That makes some sense.

I've also noticed this. I like my iPP 10.5 for reading so much that Kindle is my most used app and my Paperwhite sits gathering dust. I like the larger page and do read faster as a result, but not to the extent of their estimations.
