King Of the Hill Cancelled

What... Really?! Cleveland was (is?) by far the weakest character in that show. He just does nothing, no action, no dreams, nothing! Ho hum.

They actually need to take away Seth MacFarlane's shows, not give him more. Leave him with just Family Guy to worry about. I don't hate the guy, but Family Guy was definitely best in its first few seasons. Then they made the mistake of canceling it and giving Seth his American Dad show - pretty much a cheap rip-off of Family Guy (even though nobody would ever admit it) where Seth again voices %70 of the characters.

When Family Guy came back and Seth had more than one show to worry about, it was for a long time reduced to a string of disjointed flashback scenes with less actual jokes and more pop-culture references.
It's as if they removed their quality filter, and every tiny whim they have in the writer's room makes it on the final script. No doubt because the creative juice runs out when you're trying to make multiple shows, all cartoons, all comedies, and without any cybernetic neural enhancements to support you.

200 gags per episode pertaining to 1980-1990's TV does not = good comedy. I don't care how many times the Kool Aid man makes a reappearance, it was only good for that first skit. Man, do I sound bitter...

Maybe I'm the minority here, but I think all of the animated shows on Fox offer something unique, and that's why I like to watch all of them:

The Simpsons: good values development (the characters learn why they should/should not do something based on real events in their lives and change as a result, even if only for that episode) coupled with tongue-in-cheek humor about contemporary things.

King of the Hill: Individual growth made possible by unrealistic story lines and character hang-ups.

Family Guy: Absurd cut aways that are joke delivery systems (and let's not forget the Starwars parody).

American Dad: Well, I like Roger's characters. :p
