King's Quest on XP

Yeah, so I installed all the King's Quest original games, 1-6 on XP. They run, but they have no sound, any solutions?
 
Did you install them from the Collection Edition that is designed to run on XP?

If not, then you probably need to run them using the Dosbox program for Mac or Windows. In fact, that is how the Collection Edition does it.
 
Urgh, I tried DOSBox but it is a royal pain in the butt to get stuff to run with it.
