    Hey Everyone,

A lot of my apps have been crashing since I've upgraded to the 8gb Kingston RAM. It seems my apps (namely chrome, safari, SC2, Left4Dead2) only crash when I have too many apps open to begin with. Consistently closing apps/browser tabs seems to minimize the crashing, but that defeats the purpose of having 8gb of RAM. If chrome/safari crash, I can reopen the apps without restarting. If SC2/Left4Dead2 crash, then I need to restart my computer to reopen (otherwise they'll crash again).

Just to give you an idea, this is the type of error report that shows up afterwards.

Interval Since Last Report: 120036 sec
    Crashes Since Last Report: 11
Per-App Crashes Since Last Report: 3

    Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
    Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x000000001d5824d0
    Crashed Thread: 7

Is this RAM faulty or just incompatible? Is there a quick fix or do I need to return this RAM?
Please help and thanks in advance.

    Kingston website claims its compatible.

First guess is you have a bad stick. Consider pulling one stick to see if the problems continue, then swap for the other and check again. One of the memory test utilities may also be a help.

I'd say it's worth a quick phone call to Kingston rather than a return to the vendor.
