Can Airport Express be used as a modem and wireless router ?
I travel alot - and there obviously isnt any difficulty getting a connection where a wireless network is present - but for instance - when i'm visiting the mother in law...can i plug a phoneline into Express and go ?
apologies for the naivety of my question
    thanks

Nope, AE is only a router. You'll need to plug in an Ethernet cable. There is no phone socket.

I wish apple made a simple 1 port modem, so you can use all there wireless Devices without needing a separate router :/
