Hi,
I can not get Kodi to work either by loading thru cydia, ifile, or filza, BUT when I sign the kodi app and install thru Xcode it woks.

What I get is a blank screen for 10-15 seconds then it backs out to the home screen.
I have a iPhone 6 plus , 128 gig , with 75 gig free. IOS 9.3.3 jailbroken
apps loaded thru cydia are
- Anemore
- ifile
- filza
- activator
- icleaner pro
- mterminal
- anchor
- auxo 3
- ccsetings
- cylinder
- eclipse 3
- lockglyph
- mikoto
- mobius
- numeric wifi enabler
- revealmenu
- speed intensifier
- spotlightbegone
- typestatus 2
- apple file conduit 2
- appsync unified
- bigshotjb
- HTC Animated Weather iPhone 6 plus
- ikeys
- IOS 9 reboot fix
- Widgets
- revealNC 9
- Sahara theme and sounds
- swipeSelection PRO
- wifi explorer

When I used Xcode I tried loading thru ifile but the Xcode version was the only option, then when I uninstalled the Xcode version by the normal IOS wiggle and hit the x , I had to use Icleaner , respring, then the icon showed up but the same issue, black screen.

I don't understand a lot of this but why did it work thru Xcode and not any other way so far?
Is there another way go get this to load or ??
Thanks to all!!!!

I don't load kodi as a project on Xcode anymore.
I use a fake simple app on Xcode to get the certificate and then I use iOS app signer and sign the deb/iOS that is released on the kodi website for my devices. Then drop the iPa into the device. If jb you won't need to reinstall after 7d expiration as well since mine is still working.

There is also a Cydia official source that you can install the kodi app w no problems. This is the proper way since it's easily updatable.

Hi,
Thank you for this great info, how do I get a fake simple app with Xcode certificate please?. PM me if needed please.

Then how do you drop the IPA into the device, method and where does it go please (without Xcode)?
Are you saying I can just load it from ifile or Filza like from drop box and that works past the 7 days?

I apologize for this as I am just not familiar doing this at all, I do have phone view on my mac.

I also just wonder why thru Lydia it does not work, as my iPad does that way, strange.

EDIT
the Cydia official method does not work for me, causes same error.

I haven't tried the cydia source in a while but it should have worked. Make sure its the official one: http://mirrors.kodi.tv/apt/ios/

Anyway here is the instructions that you wanted:
https://dantheman827.github.io/ios-app-signer/
and
http://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Install_Kodi_for_iOS#Installing_using_Xcode_and_iOS_App_Signer

Hi the cydia source works for my iPad but not my iPhone, I don't know why at all, that is why I posted this thread, was hoping for a fix on that, BUT when you stated your method I was interested, I already signed the app, but I don't know how you did the "fake simple app on Xcode to get the certificate" that is what I am interested in as my signing will only last a week? or are you saying it lasts longer, my signing through Xcode?
Thank you!!

It lasts only a week if you are not jb. As long as you open kodi after the jb is injected it works. At least for me that is how it's working. Before the jb the app would not open because it was expired for me and had not updated it in a while but now it does as long as the jb is active. I don't even have my free dev profile in settings so I know it's expired.
If the app crashes lmk so I can check what exact version of kodi I have on my phone that works.

I can also open my Nintendo emulator that expired longggg ago as well.

Something on my iPhone does not like kodi, I had to uninstall it, phone took a performance hit with Kodi on. That may be why the cydia way does not work for me. Kodi is not that needed at all for me on such a small device, now that I tried it, can not see the menus without glasses and even with glasses its still to small.

Thank You for your help!
