Hello so i bought a new iphone 4s and apparently it is korean(sim free) original, already jailbroke it. But i was wondering if they make different models for different regions. Mine is korean and the only logo except apple, on the back is IC.
It works great, just as a normal iphone. I bought it brand new the package was sealed. I just wonder if the back panel is fake or something.. Thanks for help.

I bought the phone from a 3rd party store from which ive been buying phones since elementary school. My parents also purchase iphone 4s, they have the normal logos on the back panel. I called the store and they told me that this phone is asian sim free. And it is brand new.

You did buy this 2nd hand or from a 3rd party retailer right? ;)
Check out my last reply, i wrote it there.

From looking at the picture of the back panel, the model # is A1387. Don't know what IC stands for, but since that phone was made for Korean market it most likely is related to standards for Korea. My iPhone 4 has FCC, CE, etc written on the back. Don't think it's fake.

Edit: found it. It's KC, not IC and it stands for Korea Certification.

Thanks man, I was really worried about my iphone for the last couple days, but finally someone helped me out.
So it has a Korean Certification, but is it still made in Foxconn? Because on the back of my iphone, it doesn't say anything about China, as it does on other iphones.

Yes, that's a Korean iPhone. The regulatory marks differ depending on the carrier you buy it from, at least with Android phones. I bought mine from SKTelecom.

I don't know why you've got "KC" and English on your phone. That's weird. All the markings on the back, like Manufacturer and Country of Origin are the same, though.

I got my iPhone 5 last week from bangkok and it has somthing similar too.

I guess, it was made in Korea only.

ANyways, is there anything, I should be worried about ?

Would I be able to update and restore to any iOS version, I need without getting worried about its unlock status ?
