krb5kdc [messages filling secure.log]

    My secure.log is getting full of these messages, how do i turn off this stuff. or get rid of these messages or redirect them to some other file. dont know what these are.


    imac 2.93Ghz ,i7 - 16 gig. (10.6.8)

    "krb" makes me think of Kerberos (secure login utility or something like that, core component of OS X), but I don't know more.

    It's the Kerberos version 5 Authentication Service and Key Distribution Center (AS/KDC). e.g. http://linux.die.net/man/8/krb5kdc

    Are you supposed to be authenticating with a domain or other LDAP scheme?

    debug/verbose/Kerberos

    Looks like the debugging level is set to debug, see the thread HERE. click on the link posted in the reply for info on the commands to turn off verbose/debug. best of luck.
