Now you mention it, I love unassisted steering! ...you can feel everything a lot better.
Indeed
My 1502 (sig) is unassisted.
I was looking at your car yesterday... if only I had somewhere to park it so I could work on it, I'd have it off you... *snaps fingers* like that... I really would. 500 notes is nothing for one of those.
Though the green would have to go I'm afraid, in favour of black and a re-chrome. Though I'd keep the interior original, with minimal repair... and a quick valet to maintain the authenticity.
To me, driving is more about feeling than speed.
I can only agree. Though I usually find that the two go hand in hand.
but they just don't get me going, all the technology waters down the experience.
That kind of harks back to my previous post, how do you define technology? Technology's not all computer intervention... the disc brake is technology, synchromesh is technology, the radial is technology etc etc. But those advances never seemed to be questioned when it comes to driving purity.
Personally I don't think any of them detract from the the driving experience. But I do think they have extended, and allowed new techniques and challenges to evolve, and as such is just as worthy as the technology that not only proceeded it, but that will also inevitably succeed it.

Exactly, grandma's drive manuals.
