Kulve a native twitch app that JUST WORKS! (Now in open testing)

Hey everyone!

I wanted to share an app called Kulve (Not a dev just wanted to share the app). It is a native macOS app for Twitch using SwiftUI, and it is currently in open testing for anyone to try via this link: https://testflight.apple.com/join/uJqZ5xW7

Twitch on macOS well sucked for me.... (and from what I’ve found, for many others as well). When watching videos, I would encounter the following issues:

• Random black screens on the video player
• Video stops working and pauses
• Your browser encountered an error “BIG RED BUTTON” to reload player

There were non-stop issues with getting streams to just run. I tried multiple fixes, different browsers, and even hoped that when I updated to a new Mac, maybe the old one was just too slow. However, I had no luck, with some streams still pausing and going black every couple of minutes.

While searching online, I came across Kulve, an app designed to help fix many issues Twitch has when being locked behind a browser app.

While using the app over the past couple of days can FINALLY watch streams without having to click play every couple of minutes because the video went black. Altho this is an early test build with some bugs and things needed to be added I'm loving it so far.

Currently, you can:

• Sign in with Twitch
• View and watch channels you’re following
• Search for channels and categories
• Support PiP mode
• A custom Twitch chat (WIP)
• With many more things to come!
• The app is also a lot of efficient then the web version!
  • It is also not just a simple web app container either, they are using Twitch API to load content directly in the app!

The devs are actively taking feedback and implementing features! The app is new and still has a bit to go, but I really wanted to share this in case other people like myself have had a really bad time getting Twitch to JUST WORK! (Please keep in mind that this is a test build, so expect the occasional crash or bug.)
