With Trump now declaring a 25% tariff on Japan and Korea (above whatever retaliatory tariffs they impose), I wonder if Samsung items into the US will be affected. Some are made in RoK, yes?

Or, will Samsung find a way to make items in Korea that will make financial sense if they can avoid an even higher tariff on their items from China?

Regardless, as Apple's largest competitor (as well as being a supplier), Samsung's business impacts will also affect Apple.

Samsung makes most of their products in South Korea, Vietnam, or India.

My partner and I already got all of our major purchases, both needs and wants, out of the way so we can ride out the electronics inflation and hopefully saner minds will be in control after this all blows up.

iPhones can't be manufactured in the US, because they are made from 3rd party components which are not manufactured in the US. At best, iPhones could be assembled in the US. It's not Apple's job to get touchscreens, semiconductors and batteries build in the US.
