The problem isn't with the suppliers. Apple could probably swap those with backup options. The real problem is the assembly process in major cities in China. They will continuously get locked down just due to a few cases, disrupting everything including the final assembly of iPhones. Worst of all, Apple does not have a backup option for this.
I believe any of the Apple users posting here will currently have an operational iPhone at hand. So we are not without the capability to communicate. No real use to give yourself a wedgee over a future delivery date of the next iPhone. They will get here when they get here.
There are far more serious problems facing everyone in the USA than when someone gets a new iPhone.
