Cheaper is what they should be shooting for. If Apple released a version of these that were like $300 or $350 they would sell like crazy.

Lighter? It’s about time. Who thought it was a good idea to hang aluminum ingots from their heads?

But a total redesign is also needed. Bose out-Apple’d Apple with the design of the 700 headphones.

And they better have a real case, too.

I've gotten 4+ years and probably 2500 hours use out of mine so far. They've had one battery service and are still performing beautifully.

I was disappointed the v2 they released didn't have the H2 chip (and all that extra functionality) so I of course skipped them. Will very likely get the v3 assuming there are meaningful changes.

Besides weight and that too maybe by a few grams, not expecting much to change. Maybe new set of colours will be available. Anyway waiting to hear more on this.

“the headband is designed to distribute weight and reduce on-head pressure” until the non-replaceable mesh stretches after a year, when it’s then designed to distribute the weight via two hard plastic bands direct to your skull. :p
Yup. Some time last year after I took off my APM, I felt some discomfort running across the top of my head, and when I felt my scalp, I found two deep indentations running from one side to the other, caused by the plastic-encased metal bands since the mesh had flattened out. I bought a foam-lined headband cover and that took care of the problem, but still.

My ideal overears would be something like WH1000-XM6 or Marshall Monitors 3 ANC with some Apple chip that allows seamless switching ... and a freaking POWER BUTTON !!!

Would be also nice if Apple implemented a feature to lock AirPods to a certain device so it doesn't switch when I don't want it to do so.
