I think that the iPad lineup could do with some refinement/reduction, they must be struggling with sales and what models to focus on and push. They currently sell:

iPad 9th
iPad 10th
iPad Mini
iPad Air
iPad Pro in 2 sizes

Seems crowded and confusing for consumers.

I read this as: The Air and Mini will be switching to the 3nm architecture, but the iPad Pro line is not yet ready. So they’ll wait on all of it to avoid sabotaging their own lineup.

The Vision Pro is also set to launch with the M2, making the M3 likely delayed in all products. So the iPhone is going to get the 3nm and everything else is in stasis.

I would be glad to be wrong on this timeline, just speculating based on what we have heard to-date. Holding out hope that the Mini will receive an update if they keep it on an A-series chip.

Is Kuo still the great predictor that he used to be? I know there was some controversy about him after he jumped to social media.

I think when it comes to models and specs he is, but when it comes to release schedules he can be way way wrong. He seems to throw everything at the wall and on the odd occasion something sticks.

Apple "no longer plans" to release M3 Macs this year?

I hate that kind of wording; so the original plan was to release them this year and now they're "delayed"? How about they just never planned to release them this year at all? Anything to ensure that the "leakers" are always right...

M3 Macs this year made no sense with an M2 15" Air released in the summer.

The timing for the iPad mini does seem to make sense. Apple seems to have switched to a 900-ish day cycle, making a March 2024 event more likely.
