I am looking for a magnetic stand for my new 11” iPad Pro and came across this one. Looks great! I think I’m going to get it. Anyone else use this stand?

What magnetic stand do you use? I used to use Chargen, but it’s going to be awhile before the new ones hit the shelves.

9-5 did a review on the model up from this one - the one with the built in charge.

I'm just going to use a Magic Keyboard.

P.S. It seems like KUXIU is spending their ad budget at Google right now. I just got a KUXIU 2024 iPad Pro magnetic stand video show up in my YouTube feed yesterday, despite having never searched for iPad charging stands before.

If I wanted one I would wait for a new MagFlott version. Much better design and inline with Apple aesthetics.

Got the 12.9 MagFlött Pro model about 3 months ago, unfortunately it is not M4 13” friendly. I totally agree with others, personally it’s the best height adjustable magnetic iPad stand. So waiting for the new model .

this is the more interesting product... same, but it charges through the Smart Connector.

I've been looking for something like this for years. not sure why this is the first.
But... it's not as clean looking as I'd like. I'll wait for other options.

Did you order the magnetic stand? Im contemplating buying something similar.

What makes the MagFlott better in your opinion?
I’ve used the older one- the one meant for the M1 iPads. I liked it. It’s very sturdy and more in line with Apple aesthetic. I just came across the Kuxiu since it’s available now. The Magflott may be awhile. It will be worth the wait.

I understand. Thank you for clarifying that for me. Appreciate it!

Here on the desktop my Keychrone Q1 works great, I am trying to decide what to do for a point and click device. My Logi Evo trackball pairs up nicely but it is not as easy to switch between the Mac Studio and the iPad Pro and the Keyboard is, The EVO is a bit large to have 2 of them on the desk. I am not really a fan of track pads but if I have to use one I can adapt.

I was looking at this one and the only thing I don't like about it is does not have any horizontal adjustment
Yea, that’s the one thing that I like about the Kuxiu. That’s what caught my eye when I was looking. It’s a mic arm. But I’m waiting for the Magflott. I’ve used it on my old iPad and it was great. Edit to add: if I need the adjustment I can just take it off and use my folio.

I think it does per the images on the site

Was unable to delete a double post….sigh. The stand weighs 0.75kg or 1.64 lbs, so heavier than the IPP and most of the centre of mass is the base.

Tom

So here’s an example of the stand being used in real life, bottom of the IPP is perhaps 6in/15cm above the APP2 case. Stable, and am able to tap type without fear of IPP detaching or moving

And you can see the angle at which it’s sitting.

I rather disagree. The Magflott looks ok, but the KUXIU looks just as good IMO. However…

The big issue for me is that the Kuxiu charges through the stand while the iPad is mounted on it. No cables to connect. It's all done through the 3 pins on the back of the iPad which connect as soon as you mount the iPad on the stand (same as Apple's Magic Keyboards), whereas the Magflott requires you to plug in a cable.

They can supply a nice curved USB cable so it doesn't stick out the side so much, but that's just a kludge. It shouldn't require a cable at all.

So as far as I'm concerned, the Magflott is of no interest. The Kuxiu seems to be the only cableless charging stand currently and they certainly get my vote (and my money in fact :)).

I’m using the powered Kuxiu stand, bought it on day one. I built an industrial bedroom stand so I can watch movies and shows and attached the Kuxiu stand to it. It’s very nice, I love that it’s powered, the magnetic charging works flawlessly. You just magnetically attach the iPad and boom! You’re good to go.

The only downside is that the arms are very tight, they don’t move easily. It’s perfect for my bedroom stand, since I secured the Kuxiu stand horizontally, so it kinda needs to be sturdy. So far I’m loving it!
