I just got one of these. So far it seems like a quality product. I've had one of Kuxiu's magnetic iPad mounts for a long time and it's solid, and this feels of similar quality. It has a nice long braided cable, about 2m, USBC of course. The side of the pad that magnetically attaches to the iPad has a nice rubber surface so it won't scratch. I don't know how fast and efficiently it charges yet, but I assume similar to the MK. The numbers are probably mentioned in the article or spec page, but I only glossed over it.
I mainly got this so I have a way to charge while I'm using the USBC port for my XR glasses, if I don't have my Magic Keyboard around. It might also be good for people who use their iPad with an external display that doesn't provide charge. I suppose it's also a good alternative charging method if your USBC port ever fails. I don't think it's a necessity for most people since most probably don't use their iPad with USB peripherals--more of a "just in case"/"nice to have the option" kind of thing. At only about $30, might as well.

This is the manufacturer's product page for the M30 model from the article, but I ordered this one from Amazon. Oddly it doesn't seem to say M30 anywhere on the Amazon page, but when I search the Q&A's and reviews for "M30", the AI says I'm viewing the M30.
