The Faroudja DCDi looked interesting until I saw it applies only to the HDMI inputs.

Then I found out there are different video setting parameters for the DVI and HDMI inputs.

It's not even clear if the HDMI inputs can take 1920x1200.

I wanted this as a monitor for a computer on which you also watch movies.

Any practical experience? Is there any other 24" monitor with Faroudja with a better input design?

There's even a 30" Gateway with HQV. I can't believe there's nothing similar from another brand.
