Why would you expect Lacie's site to have any mention of an OS that hasn't shipped yet?

Well now that Lion's out, no more excuse for Lacie to not have clear info on USB 3.0 compatibility.

Their latest USB 3.0 is still from December of last year, buried deeply within the site, and my Lacie USB 3.0 ExpressCard34 are still not detecting the Lacie USB 3.0 2TB drive, very frustrating.

Lacie's support's answer is very SteveJoby too: use it on a non-Lion system!!

Have you this card?

Have you connected the extra power connector? I have the 2008 Mac Pro and I also want to use this card, but I am not sure where to connect the extra power connector on the board.

I want to connect my EyeTV Hybrid stick to this USB card. So I think I need the extra power connector.

Steve Job thinks USB 3 is too complicated for your gradma. Obviously your grandma should be the benchmark for everyone else

My little Asus netbook already comes with two USB3 ports, and the transfer rate is very noticeably faster when using my Lacie 7200rpm USB3 external drive than when using any of my USB2 external drives.

Yes, being stuck with FW at best when you have TB onboard, that is very frustrating. Especially when you realize that as a lambda user the prices for the TB solutions will be wayyy out of your reasonable budget.
Why couldn't they just pay the license or do whatever and get up to date with USB3? In the end it's all politics, games of power and domination, and it's annoying...

I'm sorry, can i use the new Lacie Rikiki 1TB usb 3 with my macbook unibody 13" (no pro) late 2008 without any adapter? I mean, can i use it in usb 2 mode? i read about some power issues..

Tnx

Why are you digging up a top from almost 6months ago? if you have a question ask it in the support area of the forum!
