Lacie Drive Issues

My Lacie Drive I purchased 2 months ago was working perfectly until today.

Today, I noticed the drive disappeared for about 2 hrs, and then randomly came back online.

Now it just went offline, and I cant detect it anywhere - disk utility, on other machines, via usb, via fw 400, via fw800.

What else I can try? I did recently go on a trip to vegas, and I took it with me in my backpack, but I never threw the backpack around or did anything that would jeapordize it or the data.

Any suggestions?

2 months old --- the answer here is obvious, contact LaCie for warranty replacement. This sounds like a problem LaCie has had before, where the power supply cuts out when it gets hot because it is insufficient to carry the load.
