Does anyone know more about the new chips? Is it now possible to use any raid-case? Does it support port-multiplier? The old chip supported very few raid-enclosures which had special oxford chips (I think it was oxford).

So are there pictures of the board inside or other concrete informations about the new Little Big Disk?

Can I just have a TB to USB adapter so I can plug a third device into my Macbook Air? And can it not cost $400? That'd be greeeeeat.

Drobo mini:

...

Since the Drobo website doesn't list any performance benchmarks, anyone have a clue of the performance to expect with the Drobo?

He benchmarks a Drobo Mini w/ 4x1TB WD Blue + 128GB Crucial M4 SSD "accelerator". Unfortunately, he only uses Xbench.

"So the real question is: Just how fast are we talking here? Using the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test app for Mac over Thunderbolt with a 5GB stress setting, we saw 184MBps writes and 256MBps reads from the Drobo mini using four 1TB 7,200-rpm hard drives."
