I currently own this Thunderbolt disk from Lacie.

http://store.apple.com/us/product/H7150ZM/A/lacie-little-big-disk-thunderbolt-series-hard-drive

Its a 1TB external drive (2X500GB 7200 rpm drives ) I would like to know is it possible to rip open the enclosure and replace the HDDs with 2 fast SATA3 SSDS ?

Is it worth the risk ? Will it work and will I see a noticeable performance improvement ?

After I got the Seagate Thunderbolt adapter , I barely use this drive LOL ! need to find a use for it :(

Thoughts please !

Hey, did you manage to change the drives? Did it work afterwards?
