I have a LaCie RAID rack that connects to the Mac Mini server (previous generation) via an Atto R680 card housed in a Sonnet PCI-Thunderbolt chassis. The LaCie is suffering disconnects which stops my clients saving their open Vectorworks drawings (they are a firm of architects).

    How do I troubleshoot this?
Specifically, which logs should I look at to track what is going on. Given the number of links in the chain to the LaCie, and that it's a production server, I am at a loss, and do not have the ability to test things that much - I am getting a little sick of working all night trying to work this out!

Is TB flaky? Does it die? Any thoughts most welcome!!
    Thanks

The problem is with the Lacie setup. It most likely using Segate Drives inside of it. IMHO Segate drives fail much more often then other hard drives.
