LaCie Setup or Disk Utility + Bootcamp Inquiry

Hi,

I've bought a LaCie D2 Thunderbolt 2 to use with my RiMac. I'm just unsure which way to format the drive; should I go with LaCie's own setup software, or should I use Disk Utility?

Also, I'm planning to use a part of the disk with Windows 8.1 (Bootcamp), therefore I'll format it to NTFS through the Windows setup software. Although, should I format that part to FAT32 through OS X before formating it to NTFS?

I always just use Disk Utility.

Boot Camp will assist you with everything that needs to be done for Windows to work when you run it.
