Was surfin' Safari when I hit a page requiring the flash plug-in... Safari wouldn't let me download it... Called iCare and they confirmed that neither the iPhone or the Touch version of Safari will allow Flash to be embedded in the browser -- makes CNN.com look like swiss cheese....

Flex Builder is becoming one of the most well-received methods for building great sites and it requires Flash... did Apple only add Safari so you can log into Wi-Fi and buy crap, or did I just answer my own question...

Why put a browser on a piece of equipment and then rip it to shreds by leaving out one of its most necessary tools? Anybody else think this was dumb decision besides me??

Just you I'm afraid... flash is overrated as it is, but until such time as Adobe releases a version of flash designed for the iPhone/iPod touch which doesn't drain the battery life in no time, there's no point in having the plug-in...

I hardly see flash as being "one of the most necessary tools on the web". If it's really got to that stage, that's quite sad.
