Lag between Pause button on Wireless KB

Anyone else notice a lag between the time that you press the play/pause button on your wireless KB to the time it actually pauses the music?

i notice this sometimes...

It's also happening on a wired keyboard (the new ones), so I think has to do with processor priority or something like that (if there's a process (or more) other than iTunes, that takes up CPU time).

no kidding...

makes sense, but my aluminum imac shouldn't really be laggy with just mail, safari, ical and itunes open...
