So ever since I updated my RMP its been running very slow and laggy. For example, when I am turning up the sound their is a delay before the display shows. Also, I noticed the rainbow loading wheel comes on more often nowadays. Is there any way to fix this?

I don't know what that report is or how to generate it but you are not alone. This latest update and the one immediately preceding it have created more problems for me and my cMP than I have ever had on a Mac before. Until El Capitan, I rarely saw the beachball. I am sorry that I can not offer a fix but I hope that knowing that it is not just you is helpful. The problems are different but there is definitely something rotten in these last two updates. Still, imagine, if you and I are having problems with machines that are beastly powerful, imagine what someone with a mini must be feeling right about now!

Download and run the Etrecheck report as per Richard2's post. It will give us a snapshot of your system so we can try to diagnose what the problem is.

Ive seen the rainbow wheel too . Its more frequent in the latest OS than it was in the OS before it as good as they both are . I wonder why though ?

I copied and pasted it in the last message because it wouldn't let me upload the file.

Sorry. My mistake. I posted the response to the wrong thread. Your EtreCheck report above is complete.

I suggest you try uninstalling Avast to see if that makes a difference. It also looks like you have ClamAV installed. Uninstall it too.

The only other thing that looks suspicions is that MDWorker (which is Spotlight indexing) is using too much CPU. As I said, uninstall Avast and Clam and see if that helps. Then generate and post a new Etrecheck.

Please also do the following after uninstalling the Avast software:

Note: The following procedure must be performed on an OS X user account that has administrative privileges.

  1. Open Terminal.
  2. Enter the following:

    syslog -k Sender Req '(mds|mdworker)' -k Time ge -3d
  3. Include the contents of the Terminal window in a reply to this post.

The main components of the software have been removed. :) Is your Mac any more responsive now?

Its seems to be running better now. Hopefully it will stay that way, lol. Is there anything I could use for a virus protection? or is it better not to have one?

Also thank you so much for y'alls help x)

In my opinion, the average Mac user doesn't need to use third-party security software provided they don't open files from untrustworthy sources.
Okay I won't download anything. Thanks again for helping me. My computer is running like brand new.
