Hi. I hope i'm posting this in the right section.
Long story short: My brother is an a** and can't share the internet (both our computers are connected to a router plus the PS3). So i went to find stuff on the internet and i found an article about Lan Switches.

From what i understood, a Lan switch will work as a bypass to the internet, thus allowing for increased speeds.

What I was hoping you could tell me, is if it's worth to buy a lan switch to increase our internet connection and which one could be best (and to make him stop unplugging my ethernet cable whenever he feels like it -.-).

from a quick google, a lan switch is just another name for a router.

as long as it's all working normally, nothing you put in your house can make your internet connection faster than it is. The pipe coming into your home has a certain size, putting a bigger spigot on the inside won't make anymore come out.
You could possibly pay for a higher speed connection from your internet provider. and smack your brother when he unplugs your connection.
