Language/date/currency settings?

I'm about to receive a new Macbook and wanted to know how to setup the machine using the English (UK) language settings while maintaining US dates and currency settings. I've tried to search for a previous thread but nothing is clearly explained. Anyone?

select Canada as your country in the setup and it will probably use those settings. if not you can change them in International preferences.

I have Canada selected currently on my MacPro however it defaults to English (US). I'll try and see what happens if I change it to UK.
