I bought Transparent Language's "Learn German Now" software. It's clearly ported from windows and the UI is a bit clunky in design/look.
Then I went to the new apple store that just opened in town, and saw Berlitz's "German Premier" software. It had a screenshot on the back which showed the same video clip as in the Transparent software, with same basic interface only cleaned up and much nicer. Plus the Berlitz came with audio CDs and ipod practice software etc. Same price, $40, plus a $10 rebate! So I bought it, and sure enough it has the same software content, only with a better/cleaner UI, plus a few extras!
So Berlitz is the way to go if you're looking at language software... just a word to the wise. (luckily I think I can return the Transparent package...)
